Why Train at Our Wallingford CT Martial Arts School
At New England Ninjutsu in Wallingford, CT we help people just like you get started in the martial arts.
We specialize in teaching self-defense to adults and children with little-to-no experience the practical martial art of BUDO TAIJUTSU in a beginner-friendly environment.
Whether you are looking for practical self-defense training, a new hobby, want to meet new people, or just want to get more fit, we can help.
But, are we the best martial arts school in Wallingford, CT for you?
The answer is YES if you agree with any one of these statements:
1.You want more personal attention
2.You want to learn a complete martial art
3.You want to learn from authentic black belts
4.You don’t want to sign a long term contract
5.You don’t want to be surprised by hidden costs
6.You want to try our classes before signing up
1. You want more personal attention
We limit how many students we teach.
Why do we do this?
Because we know you will learn faster and more thoroughly with smaller class sizes and we do not want you to ever feel like just another number in our classes.
We don’t accept anyone and everyone into our martial arts school. Ultimately we decide to invite someone to train with us if we both feel it is a good fit.
There are certain rules of safety, discipline, conduct and etiquette which are expected and required of anyone entering into this type of training and instruction.
2. You want to learn a complete martial art
You’ll learn the Japanese martial arts system of BUDO TAIJUTSU. Our martial arts system includes the study of both unarmed and armed combative techniques, strategy, philosophy, and history.
We begin our students with a focus on Practical Self-Defense, drawn from and conveying the fundamentals of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, gradually working into the standard BUJINKAN curriculum.
Over time our students are exposed to a wide variety of skill sets, including weapon and empty-hand techniques, ranging from the traditional to the modern, while always retaining a critical eye for practical self-defense considerations and applications.
Our classes are run along the lines of study groups and each person is responsible for their own progress as well as helping their fellow students. The training is non–competitive, allowing the student to focus on developing the mind and body through a whole–body movement martial art.
3. You want to learn from authentic black belts
Believe it or not some people who teach martial arts have no legitimate credentials and received their black belts from themselves!
At New England Ninjutsu, you will never have to worry you’re learning from an unqualified black belt. All of our Instructors have legitimate rank from authentic, internationally recognized teachers and have more than ten years experience.
Our chief instructor, Mr. Greg Kowalski, has been training in the martial arts for nearly 40 years and our two senior students have been training for 20 years or more at NEN and were personally trained by Mr. Kowalski. Several of our Instructors have lived and trained in Japan and all have received training from Master Japanese Instructors.
Unfortunately, many martial arts schools do not regulate quality standards or testing requirements. In fact, many martial arts school owners pay to get their black belt quickly and open up a martial arts school without much training at all.
However, you can feel confident that our training history is legitimate and that our instructors have the credentials and experience to teach you correctly.
4. You don’t want to sign a long term contract
We do not require that you sign a long term contract at our martial arts school and offer month to month programs.
5. You don’t want to be surprised by hidden costs
We don’t like hidden fees so we don't surprise you with them. All our costs are provided up front when we meet so you know about everything in advance.
6. You want to try our classes before signing up
The bottom line is anyone can claim anything. Before you invest time, money, and trust in any martial art (or person) – it might be wise to do some homework!!
